Northumberland Public Library is pleased to announce the exhibition of “Indigenous Perspectives” This interactive exhibition from the Library of Virginia is generously presented by Amazon with additional support from The Community Foundation, Virginia Humanities and the Anne Carter Robins and Walter R. Robins Jr. Foundation.
The display features an interactive kiosk synthesizing three years of conversations with representatives from the eleven state-recognized tribes in the Commonwealth. The exhibit is organized around the themes of sovereignty, environment, identity, community, language, and future. It will be on display during regular library hours at Northumberland Public Library through July 19th.

The first Friday of every month from 3:30 - 5:30, Northumberland Public Library hosts a High School Book Club (Grades 9 - 12). Do you like anime, manga, or video games but lack a place to share your interests? Well, look no further! Starting January 17th (3:30 - 5:30), the Northumberland Public Library will be hosting an Anime/Manga/Video Game Club for teens (Grades 9 - 12). This club will happen every 3rd Friday! We’ll play games, watch anime, read manga, and chat! Refreshments will be included (of course), so why don’t you join us?
